Grand Openings present unique challenges for hotel operations. Uniform and linen departments, in particular, face a number of issues that occur only during the pre-opening process. Linen operations must fully stock all storerooms on property with the appropriate number of specific linen items and assure that sufficient supply of room linen is available for each guest room and table linen for each restaurant.
