GIMS™ and RFID Technology

	Hundreds of InvoTech clients have obtained significant cost saving benefits by using the GIMS™ Uniform System and specialized Barcodes applied to their uniforms. Customers can obtain even more savings by using GIMS™ with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags applied to the uniforms.
Line of sight is not required when reading RFID tags as it is with barcodes. In addition RFID tags can be read 10-20 times faster than barcodes and multiple tags can be read at one time. These factors result in RFID providing huge opportunities in the management of uniforms. For example, multiple uniforms can be assigned (issued, unassigned, deleted, etc.) simultaneously and soiled uniforms can be scanned automatically without any labor using RFID laundry drop-chutes. InvoTech has extensive experience implementing GIMS™ using RFID technology, and converting customers from using barcodes to RFID. GIMS™ contains special features and reports to facilitate the conversion to RFID. A recent Case Study describes a successful InvoTech conversion to RFID. GIMS™ Linen System

			The new GIMS Linen System was recently introduced by InvoTech. The release was highlighted in Hospitality Upgrade magazine and generated significant interest at HITEC 2009. The GIMS™ Linen System manages hotel linens. The system offers extensive cost saving benefits by eliminating losses, reducing purchases, lowering cleaning expenses, and increasing labor efficiencies. The system utilizes RFID tags to manage all linen operations. Whether for room linens or table linens, GIMS™ Linen System takes all the guesswork out of linen management.
	Establish vendor accountability* by knowing exactly what was sent to and returned from the laundry*
	Automatically audit outside laundry bills* and accurately charge laundry expenses to departments*
	Know exactly how many of each item are needed to restock storage locations* throughout the property*
	Maintain total inventory control* at all times*
	Determine optimum purchases* to replenish linen based on usage and aging*
	Prevent losses by immediately identifying any locations where losses occur
